Upcoming Highlights
I'm looking forward to playing a night of original music with Josh Cole's quintet at El Barrio. With Josh Cole (bass), Skye Brooks (drums), and Ron Samworth (guitar) and Caleb Chan (violin). Thursday December 29th at 9:30pm at El Barrio.
I'm shedding double bass once again and excited to do this gig with Karin Plato (Voice) and Steve Giltrow (guitar). Saturday February 11th, location TBA on the Sunshine Coast.
Another double bass gig! This one on Sunday February 19th at 4pm at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church in Burnaby. With Cory and Bill Weeds.
On Wednesday March 7th, 2012 UGETSU +4 is performing a noon hour concert at UBC celebrating the music of Thelonious Monk. With Rod Murray (trombone), Brad Turner (trumpet), Chad Makela (bari sax), Steve Kaldestad (alto and tenor sax), Ross Taggart (piano), Bernie Arai (drums), Andre Lachance (bass), Dawn Haylett (french horn), and Brad Muirhead (bass trombone).
On Wednesday March 14th I will be playing with Sharon Minemoto's quartet at the Jazz Cellar with Sharon Minemoto (piano), Adam Thomas (bass), and Bernie Arai (drums).
One of a couple of gigs in preparation for recording a new Peggy Lee Band album! This one is on Wednesday June 6th at El Barrio. With Peggy Lee (cello), Dylan van der Schyff (drums), Andre Lachance (bass), Brad Turner (trumpet), Jeremy Berkman (trombone), Ron Samworth (guitar), and Tony Wilson (guitar).

Wilson/ Lee/ Bentley Trio is playing this gig as part of Peggy Lee's June artist in residency at El Barrio. On Wednesday June 13th with Peggy Lee (cello), Tony Wilson (guitar), and myself.
