   09/21/08- Inside Passage

As someone who grew up riding the ferries of coastal British Columbia, this is a project that has special meaning to me to be part of. Chris Gestrin has composed some stunningly beautiful music as the soundtrack to this film. Chris rode the ferries and recorded the sounds that they made to incorporate into the music soundtrack. “Inside Passage” debuts in this year's Vancouver International Film Festival. More information on “Inside Passage” can be seen here.

   06/16/08- New recording!

What a thrill it is for me to be a part of this new CD from the “Peggy Lee Band.” I have been a huge fan of this group for years, so it's almost surreal to be on one of their albums. It's called “New Code” and will be released soon on the Drip Audio record label. Here's a sneak preview of the cover.

   04/14/08- Fourfourteen's Radiohead remix

OK, so this is not a jazz project, but it does involve one of my favorite bands. For one song from their new album, Radiohead has offered up the original audio files for public remixing. A band that I co-lead, named Fourfourteen, has just finished a remix of this new Radiohead tune “Nude.” You can listen to it and vote for it on Unity Waves by clicking HERE

04/01/08- Jon Bentley Music site is Launched

After months of work, I've finally got my music site up and running! This site will primarily highlight any jazz projects that i'm involved in, although I will try to link to other musical projects in other genres here as well.

Special thanks to Torry Courte at Shockstream and Steve Mynett at Mynett Works for their generous advice. Also, a huge thanks to Ian Moar of Moar Photography for many of the amazing photos on this site (including the one to the left on this page).
